ARTIST SCAN

The Artist Scan has been developed by David Zegers.

He is the founder of SKYTIGER, an artist management and music agency that has been supporting artists in their artistic, professional and personal development since 2016.

Before founding SKYTIGER, he spent ten years as Marketing Director at Ancienne Belgique, one of Belgium's leading concert venues. He holds a degree as master in Psychologie and General Management at Vlerick Business School. He is also organisor of Witlofsessies and Holy Garden Sessions. He is also organisor of Witlofsessies and Holy Garden Sessions.

In response to the growing demand for guidance and perspective, he brings together his experience as an entrepreneur, artist manager, coach and cultural professional through the SKYTIGER Scans.

For artists and artistic projects who want to understand where they are — and where they could go next.

Talent matters. But a sustainable artistic career is shaped by much more than talent alone.

The Artist Scan therefore looks beyond the music itself. We take a holistic look at the artistic project: from artistic identity and talent to its overall set-up, positioning, entrepreneurship and future potential.

The scan based upon 3 layers, 10 dimensions and 50 questions is designed for artists and bands who, for example:

  • are at a professional crossroads;

  • feel there is more potential in their project;

  • are questioning their current direction or priorities;

  • want to sharpen their approach or positioning;

  • are preparing for the next phase of their career;

  • would benefit from an independent outside perspective.

During an intensive mentoring session, we explore strengths, areas of attention, opportunities and potential blind spots.

Not to tell an artist what they should do, but to gain greater clarity together about where the biggest opportunities may lie and what the most relevant next steps could be.

The Artist Scan is not a management pitch or traditional coaching session. It is an independent strategic perspective on the artistic project as a whole and involves a deep mentoring dimension based upon +20 years experience in music industry.

The Artist Scan is built around the same simple idea:

The scan brings structure to questions that can be difficult to answer on your own. The insights that emerge then form the basis for a focused conversation about possible next steps. The methodology combines a background in psychology, entrepreneurship, coaching and more than 20 years of experience in the music and cultural sectors. The structure is build around 3 layers, 10 dimensions and 50 questions. We can also offer additional sessions around specific themes such as ‘live & release strategy’, ‘PR & communication’, etc.
